Ashley Schwach
About Me
Hey! I'm Ashley Schwach, a graduate of the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University with my BFA in Acting. I am currently based out of St. Louis, MO but am originally from a small town in Kansas. Theatre wasn't always something I considered doing professionally but rather was something I happened into.
From the ages of 12-18 years old I was placed into Foster Care along with two of my other siblings. Because of this, I found it hard to connect with other people my age and was left feeling alone and isolated. However, once I went into high school, I found my community in an "Introduction to Theatre" class. Since then, I have continued to pursue everything and anything theatre.
I am incredibly grateful that I get to continue doing the thing I love and strive to search for ways to bring my unique experiences into my work. I want to help pave the way for young people in Foster Care to show them that a future doing what you love is achievable; whether that be putting those stories onstage or serving as an example to those in the Foster Care System within and outside of my community. I continually am searching for ways to grow my craft and am excited to see what this next step holds for me!
